Affinity And Directness For Dyestuff

Date:May 04, 2020

A certain dye can automatically dye a certain fiber in the solution, we say that the dye has affinity or directness to this fiber. The faster the dyeing speed and the higher the percentage of dyeing, the greater the affinity or directness of the dye. Both of these concepts are used to illustrate the size of the dyeing ability, but affinity is a strict thermodynamic concept with a certain thermodynamic value; there is no exact quantitative concept of directness, but only a general description of the dyeing ability of the dye.

Dye affinity is high, dyeing speed is fast, do not need too much to promote dyeing, but the possibility of colored flowers, low affinity, need to promote dyeing, there may be dye waste.
