Among the active groups of the fiber reaction, 80% is vinyl sulfone and 20% is monochlorotriazine. The combination of dye and cotton fiber has stable acid resistance and relatively poor alkali resistance. However, for C.I. Reactive Red 241, because vinyl sulfone is in the para position, the reactivity is weak, the difference between vinyl sulfone and monochlorotriazine is small, and the combination of dye and cotton fiber is close to acid and alkali resistance. Reactive red 3BS is used for printing. The best steaming time is 6 minutes. Because it is a double active group, the steaming time is stable within 5~10 minutes, and the change is not obvious. Because the solubility of reactive red 3BS is better, the affinity for cotton fiber is lower, the dyeing and fixing rate on cotton fiber is more affected by bath ratio, the bath ratio is smaller, the dyeing rate is higher, and the bath ratio is larger. The dyeing rate is low, and the final color yield is also small.
Reactive red 3BS dyes on different cellulose fibers and is affected by the bath ratio. Generally speaking, the order of influence from bath ratio is as follows: unsilvered cotton > mercerized cotton > regenerated cellulose fiber.

In the reaction process of dyeing or printing, since most of the participating reactions are vinylsulfone reactive groups, the color fastness of the alkali-resistant perspiration of the final product is lower than that of the acid-resistant perspiration, and the alkali-resistant perspiration is noticed in some special dark times. The level of reactive red 3BS is better, and the deepening is also good. However, when the amount of dyeing is more than 4%, the deepening is not as good as some other reactive dyes such as C.I. Reactive Red 264, C.I. Reactive Red 111.
