First, the basic information

product name:

Reactive Red 3BS, Reactive Red M-3BE, Reactive Red M-3BF, Reactive Red SP-3B, Reactive Brilliant Red ME-3BS, etc.

Molecular formula: C31H19ClN7Na5O19S6

Molecular weight: 1136.32

CAS: 93050-79-4

Structural formula: Reactive red 3BS has two isomers, generally referred to as meta-ester C.I. Reactive Red 195, and some as para-ester C.I. Reactive Red 241 (241 price is several times 195)

Second, the dye molecular structure

Third, the basic application performance

1, solubility:

Since there are four water-soluble groups of -SO3Na on the dye precursor, the solubility of the dye is very good, and the solubility at 50 ° C exceeds 100 g / L. In the application process, color spots rarely occur.

2. Reactivity:

Reactive Red 3BS has two reactive groups, monochlorotriazine and vinyl sulfone. Because the reactivity of vinylsulfone reactive groups is much greater than that of monochlorotriazine, CI reactive red 195 and cellulose under normal dyeing conditions. Among the active groups of the fiber reaction, 80% is vinyl sulfone and 20% is monochlorotriazine. The combination of dye and cotton fiber has stable acid resistance and relatively poor alkali resistance. However, for C.I. Reactive Red 241, because vinyl sulfone is in the para position, the reactivity is weak, the difference between vinyl sulfone and monochlorotriazine is small, and the combination of dye and cotton fiber is close to acid and alkali resistance. In general, the dye of the para-ester is less expensive than the dye of the meta-ester.

3, printing performance:

Reactive red 3BS is used for printing. The best steaming time is 6 minutes. Because it is a double active group, the steaming time is stable within 5~10 minutes, and the change is not obvious. Because the water-soluble groups in the dye structure are more, the floating color is easily washed away, and the staining performance of the white background is also better.

Fourth, the effect of bath ratio on its dyeing properties

Because the solubility of reactive red 3BS is better, the affinity for cotton fiber is lower, the dyeing and fixing rate on cotton fiber is more affected by bath ratio, the bath ratio is smaller, the dyeing rate is higher, and the bath ratio is larger. The dyeing rate is low, and the final color yield is also small.

Reactive red 3BS dyes on different cellulose fibers and is affected by the bath ratio. Generally speaking, the order of influence from bath ratio is as follows: unsilvered cotton > mercerized cotton > regenerated cellulose fiber.

V. Different dyeing temperatures

When cotton and nylon are dyed in the same bath, the reactive red 3BS is colored on the nylon. As the dyeing temperature increases, the color on the nylon is deeper.

Sixth, fastness performance

Reactive red 3BS has good washing and rubbing fastness. The chlorine fastness is also good in reactive dyes. The light fastness is slightly poor, and the light color can not meet the requirements. When the dosage of the dye is less than 0.1%, the light fastness is difficult to reach 3 to 4 grades. Therefore, for products with high light fastness, it is considered to replace the reactive dye with high light fastness.

In the reaction process of dyeing or printing, since most of the participating reactions are vinylsulfone reactive groups, the color fastness of the alkali-resistant perspiration of the final product is lower than that of the acid-resistant perspiration, and the alkali-resistant perspiration is noticed in some special dark times. The risk of unsatisfactory fastness. The PH value of the finished fabric of the printing and dyeing factory is generally controlled to be weakly acidic. The covalent bond formed by vinyl sulfone and cotton fiber is stable under weakly acidic conditions. Therefore, the color fastness of the fabric will not be obvious after long-term storage. Decline.

Seven, upgradeability

The level of reactive red 3BS is better, and the deepening is also good. However, when the amount of dyeing is more than 4%, the deepening is not as good as some other reactive dyes such as C.I. Reactive Red 264, C.I. Reactive Red 111.

Eight, mixed performance

Reactive Red 3BS has excellent leveling and bright color, and the commercial dyes are produced by using reactive red 3BS and other dyes. For example, the commonly used reactive red RGB is CI Reactive Red 195 and CI Reactive Red 198. The active red RML is a mixture of CI active red 195 and CI active red 23, and the active deep red CB is mixed with CI active red 195 and CI active red 278.
